Mike Pol was interviewed onstage at the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea’s Annual Science Conference in Bilbao, Spain in September 2023 as part of a session called “Working toward enhanced utilization of fishery dependent information”. The session was hosted by NMFS Northeast Fisheries Science Center researchers and from the Netherlands. Mike spoke about engaging fishing industry representatives in ocean use planning and offshore wind energy development. He highlighted ROSA’s advancement of research, monitoring, and methods on the effects of wind energy development on fish and fisheries.
