The Fishing Gear Data Working Group was tasked with developing recommendations to ROSA staff on where fisheries-related data should be published, how data should be organized to maximize discovery and reusability, and to describe what ROSA can do to support adoption of these recommendations.
Based on the advice of this group and with support from other regional partners, ROSA recommends fishing gear data be published to the Ocean Biodiversity Information System (OBIS) structured using Darwin Core standards.
